Writing essays is not something I enjoy . It is usually the last thing I would attempt. Ms. Vidya was not only friendly , she helped me reach my thoughts and put them on paper. Most importantly, she guided us to find those thoughts/ feelings/ characteristics about us ourselves and that is what I liked most about these sessions .Now I am more confident about writing my essay .
How lucky is Ray to have a Grandfather who shows him so many exciting marvels of life! In many ways Grandpa reminds me of my own Grandfather and i can see that my nephew has exactly this kind of a relationship with his grandfather too! I read the story out to my nephews and both of them enjoyed the story and the rhyme! My nephew immediately shared it with his grand dad too! I think this idea is so precious, as precious as the relationship each of us has with our grand dads!
As a preschool and foundational reading programmer, this book is good for children to imagine. They learn new vocabulary and that is one thing I liked about the book – it does not ‘dumb it down.’
Mrs. Murlidhar has been the best help anyone could ask for. When my school told me this year that I would be graduating, I was dumbfounded. I didn’t know what to do or where to even start looking. Mrs. Murlidhar was there to help me through the whole essay writing process. Writing a college application essay is no easy feat, and with her constant support and willingness to help, I was able to accomplish something that kids my age normally take a year to do, in the span of a few months. She knows the ins and outs of the essay writing procedure, and takes time out of her day, to make sure she understands how you want to write it, all while providing advice on the best way to execute your essay.
My kids loved the thoughts incorporated in “The Adventures of Grandpa & Ray”…. simple, eloquent & powerful… so beautifully penned! Amazing illustrations! Highly recommended!
I was a passive listener on these sessions. Ms.Vidya has a very soft calming voice and she approached the sessions as a friend .The kids seemed to open up quite well and I am sure they did some soul searching to know more about themselves in addition to learning how to present themselves to the colleges through the essays.
Vidya Auntie is an invaluable resource for students applying to undergraduate or graduate programs. The effort she takes to educate herself about the student and their writing piece goes to show how invested she is in her students’ success. In her role, she not only advises about the writing itself, but guides you through the entire creative process, allowing you to explore your talents and creativity to the fullest extent. I highly recommend Vidya Auntie for any of your writing needs!
A beautifully crafted book about the adventures of a little boy called Ray and his Grandpa. The book takes you through nostalgic moments (perhaps from your own childhood) and is great for an easy afternoon or night time read. You will also love the whimsical illustrations and the feel good nature of the book.
Looking forward to more adventures from them.
This book is a simple ode to a very special relationship between a grandfather and grandchild, with illustrations that make you long for the leisurely life shared by the duo – a life that’s naturally relaxed and not part of a deliberate slow movement or something! This book has a beauty and simplicity that seem at once elusive and completely reachable… A narrative to savor and cherish just like the story it depicts.
I loved working with Vidya Aunty/ Mrs. Murlidhar! She is the kindest and most encouraging mentor. She takes the time to get to know her students and connect with them and help them write their unique story in the most organic way possible. From brainstorming to editing, she has guided me at every step. Working with her has elevated my application to another level and I highly recommend her to all!
It was a pleasure to be part of your workshop these two days, where you subtly inspired each of us to know ourselves better!
Your brainstorming activities have evoked a lot of thinking and compelled us to go into one’s own history and look at events with different perspectives.
The students got to know how to write their essays in different styles, what to highlight and how to bind it into a story of their life.
The tips about the flow, grammar, word choices and central theme will surely help our students to sharpen their skills in essay writing for college applications !
